Displaced International Hosts X Space on “Displaced Youth: Challenges, Resilience, and the Road Ahead”
Washington, D.C., August 15, 2025 — On the occasion of International Youth Day, Displaced International will host a powerful global conversation on X Spaces this Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Eastern Time, spotlighting the voices of young people who have endured the hardship of forced displacement yet emerged as leaders, advocates, and agents of change.
The live audio event — titled “Displaced Youth: Challenges, Resilience, and the Road Ahead” — will feature Displaced International Fellows from Afghanistan and beyond, offering an unfiltered look at the urgent realities faced by millions of young refugees and displaced persons worldwide.
The program will open with remarks from Ambassador Ashraf Haidari, Founder and President of Displaced International, who will set the stage by underscoring the resilience of displaced youth and the pressing need for global solidarity. The conversation will be moderated by Hamayun Khan, guiding an hour-long exchange of deeply personal stories, policy insights, and calls to action.
